Liburnija d.o.o. Zadar is the successor of the "Liburnija" Utility Company registered with the Commercial Court in Split on January 10, 1985. It was established on September 10, 1996 as a limited liability company pursuant to a Social Contract on Harmonization with the Companies Law.
The majority owner of "Liburnija" d.o.o. is the City of Zadar (with a share of 58.83%), followed by the Municipalities of Bibinje, Kali, Nin, Novigrad, Poličnik, Posedarje, Preko, Ražanac, Sali, Starigrad, Sukošan, Škabrnja, Vir and Zemunik Donji.
The Company's Supervisory Board consists of 5 members, while the Company's Management Board includes solely the Company’s director who represents the company independently and severally.The average number of permanent employees is 250.
The intention is that the City of Zadar assumes, in accordance with the model used by other European cities, the obligation to finance restoration and development of the public passenger transport system as well as co-finance the cost of transport in order to popularize the use of public transport.
